I slowed down and the deer was safely to the left of my car, but then bolted back to the right and got knocked over by my car, then got up and scampered away. Its friend just watched the whole thing… didn’t try to do nothin’ about anything.
Would any of you be even the slightest bit interested in a chapbook (24 pages) of my poetry? I’ve been wanting to do something with all these sappy, saccharine, despondent and cathartic poems I’ve scribbled out over the years. It’d only be, like, 1-2 bucks… anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Anyway, here’s a taste of what kinds of stuff would be in there:
The Profundity of Failure A vacuous vicissitude for life through ancient days of treaties, pledges, trepidation, plight and meager wage has grown to calm – a cradle gently quelling cares of age - that those who last might find reprieve and revel in the gaze when weary eyes are strengthened, seeing forests for the trees and recompense for sorrow scattered sparsely ‘cross the seas.
That’s right! What Errant Beast…? has finally come to fruition over the past 4 or 1,394,523 months (I lost track, but it’s probably on the lower end, though it feels like the upper spectrum of the whole mess). Here’s a little video about the differences between what I’d had on my STORE!!! page before and what’s up now:
Now, what I need from you: buy stuff! As of right now I’m unemployed and sunk about $120 into this. I’m hoping to make $20-30 if I sell every last one of these at $10 a pop (plus $2 for shipping). Paypal’s gonna take a fair share of any would-be profits, so I’m hoping I won’t end up in the red (or whatever ominous color is used to denote financially unwell situations) when everything’s said and done.
To those who’ve bought, thank you and I’ll have those shipped out to you as soon as possible. I really couldn’t have done any of this without the support of everyone who visits this site, especially if they take it upon themselves to purchase stuff or (better yet) donate money. I’m overwhelmingly grateful for every donation I receive. u_u
So apparently What Errant Beast just got featured on Drunk Duck! It’s so cool to see this whole “web comic” junk I decided to do on a whim one day actually taking form! I mean, first I got friends to see it, then some random people online, got some donations from friends (and benevolent strangers), got to know a sparse amount of web cartoonists and even got a few links on some sites I admire, including Shrub Monkeys, Facebrooks and Moore Sketches! Really, it’s touching to see how this has come so far in just barely over 6 months, especially with my wishy-washy style changes from computer to ink to simple colors to FULL color. (Hopefully this’ll stick, but who knows? I feel guilty for being so inconsistent.)
So, to all visitors from anywhere on the interwebs, hello and thank you for your support. Tell your friends and, well… stay classy.
