2012.03.18 – Brenna’s Bridal Shower
by jca3d on 2012/03/18 at 10:22 pmCongrats on being engaged and stuff, Brenna! Haha, aren’t moms silly when they’re in church and reading possibly naughty marriage advice in public to their daughters? Silly moms! (The “naked” thing was a metaphor for not keeping things bottled up or whatever… honesty? I forget, exactly.)
I don’t remember if that was really her response but… that’s how it went in my memory. Possibly because of my “why did I just say that?!” thoughts in the instant after the words left my mouth. I do that a lot, but it’s usually unjustified. I think.
Do you remember Ariana? Check the archive! I barely drew her at all, really.
Yeah, that whole “not really mad, but really overdoing indignation for its comedic approach” thing doesn’t come across too well in comics.
I need to hang out in groups of 3 or 4 other people more often. I seem to do better in that setting than among scores of people where everyone’s acting congenial.
Not very eventful. And it may be (definitely is) a prime example of me being lazy & just duplicating one frame, but I still like the thought behind it. It’s important to edify those around you. Tell someone something good. Be nice to people. Thanks for reading. I hope you’re enjoying yourself.
Yes, she actually said “placated” there. Words are good to know.
Thus ends TWO YEARS of daily diary comics! It’s been… an experience. But I’m not quitting just yet! After all, I don’t really have anything else to do.
See? I told you I’d get to drawing about Abigail! (But that’s because I’m horribly behind so I’ve actually drawn up to the 29th’s comic & I’m writing this on the 30th.) I’m working on developing foresight though.
Oh man! Look at how bad panel 3 is! Our heads are all smooshed! Don’t… don’t look at panel 3, please. It’s not good.
